7 5/8 "Dakota" Hive Body

The 7 5/8" Hive Body, sometimes known as a "Dakota Super" is a lesser known "in-between" size of box used mainly by some commercial beekeepers. Our woodenware is manufactured from Ponderosa pine at our wood shop in Wisconsin. We will allow solid red knots and black ring knots, in the face of the box.  The box is to be free of loose knots or holes and no knots in the joints.

• Handholds are taper cut for easy gripping
• Moisture Metered before cutting to prevent warping
• Uniform Interlocking Joints for strength
• Ponderosa Pine from the USA
• Manufactured in our woodshop in Wisconsin
• All boxes come unassembled with nail holes pre-drilled
• Orders of 4 or less will come with nails included

Note: standard deep or medium frames will not work with this box. We do offer 7 5/8" frames for the Dakota Box, but they are a special order item.

The 8 Frame style is a special order and may take several weeks to ship.
