Aged in one single 300L clay amphorae, this is as as pristine, unadorned and manicured expression of Cesanese as you will find. Fruit is sourced from one small vineyard of very old vines, accessible only by foot; once picked it is foot-trodden and fermented in open-tops wooden vats. Delicate, dried purple flowers, perfectly ripe plummy fruit and a sense of… life that seems to evade comprehension. While this is the pinnacle of Maria's production, in her own words, this is not a wine intended to age. This is sheer vibrancy, soil, and sunshine, held in glass and crafted with the intention of being consumed amongst the ones you love.
